i prefer smithing with companions and not with the main char. Its a waste of skill points to train it with the main char. technically there are cheats for that - but this specific one will reset all your skill-levels to 0 aswell. You can always smelt down Thamakane weapons for it. I think Sturgians tend to have them.
I have also noticed something similar with companions. I saw a post here and didn't think much about it, at first. Dismiss a companion and they're gone. I noticed in a bandit camp that I could still select my fired companion. Unfortunately, I tend to strip em naked before I send em off into the wilderness, so the companion was useless. If it is a feature to have companions "lost" - i do not like it. I want to fire them not "kill" them. I may have a save available but the behavior is confirmed by me. I am a mercenary in a war and i am trying to dismiss companions. Also became a free agent and the same behavior. Try'd all options from the conversation - all make : companion "lost".Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord > [EN] General Discussions > Topic Details.
