posted 2015-Apr-6, 11:52 am AEST. Refridgerant gas might be low but biggest issue will be how it leaked out, if there isn't anything obvious like a loose joint. Need to trace the leak to fix it, then evacuate system before regas. Might also need to renew the dryer canister.
many thanks. morgan. you need about £500 worth of equipment, for this and it is illegal to release refrigerant into atmosphere, and no matter what anyone says you should not have to top up an ac system because that means there is a leak on the system which is also illegal. It should never lose it's refrigerant charge through all its lifetime03 jetta tdi. Ac just quit working the other day. Never had a problem with it before. Checked pressures. Static low at 100 and high at 100. When ac is switched on, ac light comes on and fans spin. Replaced pressure switch on high side line. No change. 12v to pressure switch.
